Vehicle Description
Every vintage pickup was once a workhorse and each has a story to
tell. So the one you really want not only still looks good, but in
the case of this 1978 Ford F-100 Ranger, also has unique tale to
share with your friends.
In the 70s, the Ranger package meant an upgraded and very stylish
pickup. This one is complete with the stainless body line moldings
that really showcase the straightness of this styleside pickup.
Plus, mirror-like bumpers, bright wheel arch moldings, and upgraded
Pacer wheels make for a terrific shining package. But our favorite
piece of bright work is probably the shining headlight surrounds.
It draws attention to the square headlights that were only offered
for a couple of years on the iconic sixth-gen F-series. It's all
seen quite vividly thanks to the factory-correct Raven Black paint
that's used for a backdrop. One look at the super-straight body,
and it's very obvious this wasn't some contractor's beater... but
there's an even deeper story of owner loyalty. Take a look at the
trim tag. This Ford was ordered by district 22 - Charlotte, North
Carolina. So it's 40 years later, and this pickup is still selling
out of its home region.
Inside, the red looks nice against the exterior black, and the
Ranger's wood paneling gives it a classic upscale charm. Plus, you
have great modern upgrades like cup holders and an AM/FM/CD stereo
with an aux input for the most modern music players. The bench set
feel comfortable as you slip behind the wood and chrome steering
wheel. This gives you a commanding view of all the factory gauges
as well as the road ahead.
Ford's reliable and powerful 302 cubic-inch V8 is ready for you
under the hood. It has a bit of flair thanks to the bright air
topper and Mickey Thompson valve covers. Plus, the inhales deeply
through a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with
authority from the dual exhaust. The full package feels nice on the
road thanks to the C6 three-speed automatic transmission, power
steering, and Ford's twin I-beam front suspension. Plus, you have
the added road holding of front disc brakes and Cooper Cobra tires
at all four corners.
This vintage F-100 is turn-key ready for all-day work or play. It's
a great classic truck that has a story to tell, and you get to
write the next chapter. So don't delay, call today!
