Vehicle Description
Immediately dominant in American road-racing from early 1963,
Carrol Shelby's Ford-powered, AC Ace-derived Cobra quickly became
one of the most revered American sports cars built. As production
ended, replicas started to pop up. Reaching the status of the
most-copied car, Carroll Shelby saw a space and time in the market
to produce a continuation car, and the CSX6000 for the 289s, and
CSX4000 for the big-block 427s series were born. The Shelby CSX4000
delivers breathtaking performance and a historic driving
experience. The frame is stronger than the original AC-built unit.
Cooling is improved, as is the heat shielding. CSX4095 offered
here, titled as a 1965 model year, with Ford 427ci power has been
meticulously kept and minimally enjoyed for less than 2,000 miles
from new (mileage not indicated on the title). The high-strength
fiberglass composite body is painted Guardsman Blue and it has
black leather upholstery. CSX4095 is accompanied by a Certificate
of Authenticity from Shelby American, Inc., showing that this is
every bit a real Shelby, yet offers a practical alternative to
experience the unmatched performance and aggressive style of these
American sports car legends, at a fraction of the cost of a
1960s-built car.
