Vehicle Description
1,086 ASC McLaren Mustangs were produced over a four-year
production run. This car has a badge on the dash indicating it is
#797, and is one of only 21 produced in 1988 in Atlantic Blue with
a blue roof and beige interior. Ford Motor Company shipped
completed cars directly to ASC McLaren for extensive customization.
The windshield was pulled back approximately 20 degrees and a new
convertible top was installed, which stows below the tonneau cover.
A custom interior was installed, including new front seats and
replacement of the rear seat with a parcel shelf and storage bins.
Special body moldings, front air dam, rear spoiler and
cast-aluminum wheels completed the transformation. This Mustang
McLaren car is powered by a Ford 5.0-liter V8 engine and a Borg
Warner 5-speed manual transmission. It has had two owners and has
been well-maintained. With 40,000 original miles (title reads
mileage exempt) this rust-free car has been garage-kept, is very
clean, and comes with its original warranty card/owner's manual.
