Vehicle Description
1936 Ford Custom
This beautiful 1936 Ford Custom has a beautiful look and is the
perfect combination of originality and customizations. It was built
by Frank Ayers in San Antonio and is the type of car you could fly
in to purchase and drive all the way home with no issues. The two
tone paint is such a classy combo and really stands out from the
crowd. The body is very straight and entirely damage free. It is a
Fairlane Body which is proportionally correct to the original. From
the firewall forward the car is steel. That includes the hood, side
panels, and fenders. It features some of the original style trim on
the hood and a very cool V8 hood ornament on the nose. On the side
of the running boards a custom trim piece was added that feels
right at home and looks like it should have been there originally.
The removable Carson top fits perfectly in place and is easy to
remove. It was done in dark Blue to match the Blue on the body and
has side curtains. Up front are the original style headlight/turn
signal configuration but the taillights have been changed out to
LED tear drop style lights. The front and rear bumpers are chrome
and have a nice shine with no pitting or issues. Sleek aftermarket
side mirrors were added on both sides and are nicely painted. The
Duval windshield looks great on the car and is the 2 piece style.
The Cragar wheels look perfect on the car and feature knock off
style center caps and new tires.
Pop the hood and you will find a nicely built 350 V8 motor that
runs very well. This car has been road tested and handles longer
drives with ease. The motor has been dressed up with a chrome air
cleaner and chrome valve covers. It is backed by a Turbo 350
automatic transmission that shifts smoothly and transfers power
back to the Ford 9 inch rear end. Underneath the front of the car
is a Mustang II style front end that greatly improves the ride and
works perfectly in cars like this. In back are parallel leaf
springs with lowering blocks. Other features include the rack and
pinion steering and new optima battery.
The interior is complete in a Blue and Beige two tone that looks
good. The bucket seats are comfortable and both have lap belts. The
dash is painted to match the exterior and is topped with
aftermarket Black face gauges, Optimus AM/FM/Cassette player and
the AC vents. The AC controls are mounted to the bottom of the dash
next to the center vent. The tilt column is also painted to match
the body and is fitted with a leather wrapped LeCarra steering
wheel. Behind the seats is a removable panel to access additional
storage. The power trunk opens smoothly and the inside is just as
cleanly done as the rest.
This car has a great look and drives just as well. It is one of
those you can hop in and go anywhere.
This beautiful vehicle could be yours for $47,600.00!
