My father-in-law bought this 1960 Ford Thunderbird in 1961 in Tulsa Oklahoma. It has a 352 ci V8 engine with a 3-speed automatic transmission. It was a family car until the mid 1970's and then kept as a family heirloom ever since. He had the engine rebuilt and a strip-down-to-the-metal paint job done in the late 1990's. It has been garaged all of its life. When my father-in-law aged, I brought the car down to Texas and have driven it weekly and have garaged it as well. The car is in very good condition except for the driver's seat vinyl which has two tares. The paint is very good with only a few very small chipped places. The dash is perfect. I added seat belts in 2007 and new Thunderbird floor mats in 2017. The car has power seats and windows.
I have restored and repaired many mechanical items. In 2017 I spent $12,000 rebuilding the transmission (3 year warranty), rebuilding the starter, adding a multi-spark displacement ignition system inside of the distributor cap, rebuilt the carburetor, a new fuel pump, cleaned out the gas tank, added a high performance battery cut-off switch, a new battery and cables and I had the brakes totally rebuilt. In 2011 I had the power steering pump rebuilt. In 2007 I had a new air conditioning unit put in to take modern pressures and Freon (currently this is not working due to a Freon leak). Also in 2017, I put on four new Coker steel-belted radial tires with 2 3/8" wide whitewalls. Nearly every part that you would ever need for a 1960 Thunderbird, both interior and exterior, can be easily purchased online or in catalogs from numerous vendors....
