Vehicle Description
This classic custom Pro-Touring 1955 big window Chevrolet pickup is
powered by a GM Performance ZZ502/502 deluxe Chevy crate engine
with aluminum heads, intake manifold and a Holley 870 cfm
carburetor. A Be Cool aluminum radiator with dual fans assists in
cooling the engine bay and the exhaust is handled by Sanderson
headers that connect to a dual exhaust system. A Turbo Hydro 400
3-speed automatic transmission is coupled to a Ford 9" differential
with 3:73 posi-traction. Restoration began with media blasting,
smoothing the original firewall, and installing a Mustang II front
suspension, power rack & pinion steering and Heidts 4-link with pan
bar rear suspension, front disc brakes and Air Ride Technologies
airbags that enhance the driving performance. The interior elements
include: Dakota Digital gauges, Vintage Air with custom bulkhead
fittings through the firewall, Lokar shifter, custom leather
interior, a leather wrapped banjo steering wheel, and custom sound
system with speakers hidden behind the seat. The exterior features
an amazing multi stage Candy Cherry paint buried in Matrix clear
coat that lights up against the 20" chrome American Racing wheels
complete with Falken Ziex tires. The bed of the truck includes red
oak flooring with matching Candy Cherry metal strips and a
flush-mounted fuel filler for the custom stainless steel fuel tank.
This stunning pickup is coupled to a custom chassis that was built
to handle the enormous power and 580ft/lbs. of torque from the
factory.
