back in 1968. The original A/C has been converted to R134, but
don't worry it still blows just as cold as it did in 1968. The 98
has been touched up with a repaint, and they went with the same
beautiful factory color. You will get a sense of how well this car
has been taken care of when you see the condition of the original
carpet, floor mats, and trunk mat. This beast comes with the 455cid
V8 and shifts flawlessly with an automatic transmission. With only
two proud owners, this 2 owner car originally came out of the dry
climates of Arizona and has been in Georgia ever since. In 1968
Oldsmobile continued to produce five well appointed 98 body styles.
Standard equipment included: dual master cylinder, four way
flasher, energy-absorbing steering column, back-up lights, side
marker lights, seat belts, cross-flow radiator, rear armrest
ashtrays, power brakes, electric clock, special moldings, shoulder
belts, Deluxe steering wheel, power steering, carpeted trunk and
Turbo-Hydramatic transmission. Upholstery was cloth, vinyl or
leather. Standard tire size was 8.85 x 14 inches. Engine
displacement was increased to the Rocket 455 cu in (7.5 L) V8 with
365 horsepower. Ninety-Eight productions were built out of Lansing.
