Vehicle Description
This 1971 Dodge Challenger custom R/T re-creation is a California
car with a newly rebuilt 383ci V8 engine that pushed a 4-speed 833
manual transmission. The entire car has recently undergone a
complete restoration. Every part has been gone through, the
transmission just had new oil, and a new high-end clutch kit was
installed. The engine has less than 300 miles since the build, and
the rest of the car has 17,700 original miles (mileage not
indicated on title). Most of the parts are new, but original parts
were used whenever possible. It has a new carburetor, fuel tank and
sending units, and new long-tube headers with 2.5" exhaust. The
emergency brake cable is also new. It has rebuilt front disc brake
calipers and rear drum brakes. The only body panels replaced were
the sill plates and a new trunk pan has been welded in. This car
was stripped and painted its original 71 Challenger Green Go and
has the 71 Challenger blacked-out R/T hood and matte black R/T
stripes. It has new weatherstripping, windshield, back window and
window trim. The engine wiring harness is new as are the front
headlight harness, engine electrical components, and speedometer
cable. This car has an all-new black interior including new center
console, interior front door panels, rear interior quarter panels
and package tray, carpet, black vinyl seat covers, bucket seat
foam, trunk mat, window cranks, and lock buttons. This custom
re-creation R/T rolls on a new set of staggered Foose wheels and
new NITO tires.
