Vehicle Description
In 1939, the Dodge pickup series were completely redesigned, with a
focus on safety, capability, and innovation. Cabs were redesigned
with dashboards that don't impale passengers, frames were beefed up
and some of the first diesel engines and 4WD systems were
implemented. The truck was an instant success and served as the
backbone for the wartime light truck effort.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this extremely impressive
1947 pickup for your consideration. Finished in a stunning shade of
Maroon with black fenders, this truck turns heads wherever it goes.
A ton of work has been put into this mean looking machine and it
has a list to back it up. The engine is a Chevy 350cid V8 that is
mated to a 700R4 automatic transmission. Power steering, power disc
brakes, and steel braided fuel lines mean this truck is as easy to
drive and as reliable as a modern car. Fiberglass rear fenders,
custom rear tool box and excellent bed wood look great and go side
by side with the lowered suspension and larger wheels and tires.
VDO gauges, floor shifter, custom bucket seats, vent
windshield, working radio, and new headliner round out the interior
upgrades. In addition, a new Edelbrock carb, electric cooling fan,
upgrade air intake and more mean that this truck is ready to roll.
It starts up and runs and drive like a champ, and its very hard to
find anything wrong. Excellent paint and chrome trim, front bumper
delete, fog lights and lowered suspension combined with a nearly
stock looking body mean this truck is like nothing else on the
road.
