This factory-built S281-E Saleen Extreme 2002 Convertible Mustang
comes with a signed factory letter of authenticity from Saleen.
There were 54 S281 Extremes manufactured in 2002 and of those 54,
20 were convertibles. This Saleen is one of two with these exact
colors and options made that year. Of the 54 made, this was #29 on
the manufacturing line. This car has a special 4.6-liter Saleen
Extreme engine not available in other Saleen models. Only the
S281-E model is hand-built in the Saleen factory and has 425hp at
6400 rpm and 440 ft/lbs at 4000 rpm. It has Saleen special factory
ID tag on the firewall, special close-ratio 6-speed manual
transmission with a full locker rear end and a factory replaced
suspension, built for racing. This car has special 13" Saleen
brakes and a special high-flow stainless-steel dual exhaust system.
It also comes with 5-spoke chrome-finished rims and Pirelli PO
tires. This car is gorgeous with a rare and beautiful Metallic Grey
exterior, and its sporty interior has Charcoal Grey hugging leather
seats.
