Low mileage suvivor. You will rarely see a 4-door survivor from the 50's-even restored. This car is like new, unrestored (only a partial repaint years ago) with 13,xxx miles. There is data to support that the mileage is accurate, including: service stickers on the door jam from 1969 and prior showing 8 and 6 thousand miles respectively; a sales report from 2011when this car sold for $22,500 and listed with 10,573 miles, and referenced an inspection document from 1993 that showed mileage of 9,068; The fact that all the parts I have replaced (and retained) have the original FoMoCo name stamps; and the general overall condition. This car is rust-free, damage repair-free, solid, and drives like new.
I purchaed the car in July of 2016, and proceeded to replace items to make it reliable and a pleasure to drive. The car has new wheel cyliders and shocks all around; new front brake shoes and grease seals; new thermostat, radiator hoses, bypass hose, and coolant; complete tuneup-cap, rotor, plugs, points, and condenser; front-end alighnment; new battery.
This car is equipped with a 272cid 2 barrel engine (190 hp), 3-speed manual transmission, heater/defrost and clock (not currently working) and factory radio-delete. It has Coker/Firestone wide whitwall bias ply tires and full wheel covers, spare tire and jack. This car was registered in 4 car shows in 2017: Good Guys Rod and Custom, AACA local Ford, Henderson NC Show-Shine-Shag & Dine, and Pittsboro KC; it won a trophy or honorable mention at 3 of 4 shows.
