Take a look at this GORGEOUS !! - VERY RARE - PAMPERED SURVIVOR
1957 Ford Thunderbird Roadster Convertible !! It is VERY RARE as
only 21,380 Thunderbird Roadsters were built in 1957, the LAST and
BEST year of the 1st generation Thunderbird !! We recently
purchased this Thunderbird from the local Idaho owner who had owned
it since 1995 and as you can tell in the pictures and video it was
his pride and joy !! It still retains it's correctly mounted -
FACTORY ORIGINAL - firewall mounted Ford data / VIN tag and it's -
ORIGINAL - 1957 Thunderbird owner's manual, both of which are shown
in several pictures. This is a NICE - DRY - SOLID Nevada - Idaho
High Mountain Desert - Western car and it shows! I drove this car
for the last several days as my everyday driver and it ran and
drove GREAT !! If you can make it to Boise please come drive and
look this BEAUTY over for yourself, you won't be disappointed !
THIS IS A QUALITY "BABY BIRD" THAT IS READY TO DRIVE, SHOW AND
ENJOY !!
At the heart of this Thunderbird is what appears to be the VERY
STRONG !! - ORIGINAL - OPTIONAL - Code "D" - 312 CID "Thunderbird
Special" V8 motor that is running VERY well and also sports the
ORIGINAL 4 barrel intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds,
ORIGINAL "Thunderbird" scripted aluminum valve covers, ORIGINAL
Chrome air cleaner housing and the ORIGINAL 4 barrel carburetor
with electric choke, etc. Sounds GREAT too with the factory style
true dual exhaust system. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH -
OPTIONAL - Three speed "Ford-O-Matic" automatic transmission which
is also functioning very well. The BEAUTIFUL - Colonial White and
Torch Red Cloth and Vinyl Thunderbird interior is in VERY NICE
condition including a VERY NICE Colonial White Vinyl and Torch Red
Cloth bench seat, VERY NICE Dark Torch Red carpets, VERY NICE
Matching Colonial White Vinyl and Torch Red door panels, NICE
ORIGINAL Thunderbird steering wheel, VERY NICE ORIGINAL White Vinyl
sun visors, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Factory gauge clusters, VERY NICE
ORIGINAL Brushed aluminum dash and a VERY NICE White Vinyl dash pad
with NO CRACKS !! All of the ORIGINAL black rubber weatherstripping
is soft, supple and in GREAT condition for being original. The
GORGEOUS - Code "E" - Colonial White exterior finish is EYE POPPING
BEAUTIFUL !! showing a few small chips and imperfections that have
been touched up but still looks STUNNING !! as you can clearly see
in the VIDEO & 100 ADDITIONAL PICTURES !! The White Vinyl
convertible top is in VERY NICE condition and sports a matching
white vinyl tonneau cover. The VERY RARE - MATCHING - Colonial
White "Non-Porthole" removable hardtop is also in VERY NICE
condition. This Thunderbird Roadster comes nicely equipped
including factory power steering, factory power brakes with a
REBUILT brake booster, factory power wipers, factory dual side cowl
vents, good heater and defroster, optional "Volumatic Signal-Seek"
AM radio which is no longer working, factory gauge clusters with
140 MPH speedometer, working factory tachometer, factory style seat
belts, original clock which is no longer working, aftermarket oil
pressure / amperage / water temperature gauges, factory front wing
windows, original rear view mirror, original dual chrome side view
mirrors, factory fender skirts and factory back up lights. This
Thunderbird Roadster has GORGEOUS looks and AWESOME 312
"Thunderbird Special" V8 power as well... what's not to like ?!
The suspension and drive line all seem to be in good working order
as well as the electrical system. All of the ORIGINAL Chrome and
Stainless Steel exterior body trim and moldings are in VERY NICE
condition including VERY NICE ORIGINAL badging and VERY NICE
ORIGINAL Chrome front and rear bumpers !! Take a look at the
AWESOME - ORIGINAL STYLE - Thunderbird wire wheels with correct
"Thunderbird" spinner center caps wrapped in BRAND NEW Coker
Classic wide whitewall steel belted radial tires, boy does this
combination look OUTSTANDING on this Thunderbird and really retains
that CLEAN - "Factory Original" look !! The Clean - Solid trunk
also sports a Dark Red Carpet liner and a full size radial spare
tire. All of the ORIGINAL light lenses and reflectors are clear,
bright and BEAUTIFUL !! This vehicle is in nice mechanical
condition and it runs and drives very well. I looked underneath and
also included photos below. Again, this is a NICE - DRY - SOLID
Nevada - Idaho High Mountain Desert - western car and it shows !!
