Vehicle Description
The Road Runner was a midsize muscle car that was produced by
Plymouth from 1968 to 1980. It was a discounted and decontented
version of the uplevel GTX and was able to compete with other
muscle cars from the era at an affordable price. The standard
engine was the "Roadrunner" 383cid V8 engine that pumped out 335hp
and 425lb-ft. 4 speed manuals and 3-speed Torqueflite automatics
were optional. These cars were fast, affordable, and over 81k were
sold in 1969.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this unique Road Runner for
your consideration. The car features the standard 383cid big block
V8 and is mated to a smooth 3 speed automatic. The car is painted
in matte black that is ok. There are some flaws and it is far from
show quality. The trim is intact and still has decent shine. The
interior is in excellent shape with new looking seats and excellent
door panels and trim. According to the owner, about $27k was spent
restoring the vehicle including a rebuilt engine, new transmission,
new shocks, new fuel tank and lines, new wiring harness, and all
new interior parts. The owner has had the car for around two years
now but has only provided a list of new or replaced parts without
receipts. Some of the features in this car are power steering,
aluminum radiator, modern radio, disc brakes, and a date code
correct 383cid V8. Other features are a 9in rear end, factory
performance hood, brand new 727 TCI racing transmission.
This car is ready to go, whether you're looking for a drag car, a
street cruiser, or something to restore even more, this Road Runner
is your car!
