Vehicle Description
When you think about the perfect classic car, what usually comes to
mind is the one that steals the show with a terrific appearance,
and then steals your heart on the drive home with its all-out
power. That's what gets us excited about this 1969 Chevrolet
Chevelle. With a hot 454 V8 under the hood, four-on-the-floor, A/C
interior, and bright paint with tributes to the Super Sport and
Yenko - it all make this a terrific total package classic.
The fastback bodylines of the '69 Chevelle are iconic, so we love
to see this one in a standout color. It looks like a midpoint
between the '69 colors of LeMans Blue and Dusk blue, so you'll
always be noticeable in a crowd. And speaking of standouts, the
Yenko S/C package on the hood makes this coupe look like it's
always moving forward. And the full-length side stripe was great at
accenting the sheetmetal's curves while adding speedy appeal. So
this Chevelle truly does a great job of paying tribute to
Chevrolet's greatest dealer. Other great upgrades include all the
SS badging and a cool set of 15-inch alloys. But even without these
updates, this coupe is a stunner. There was a solid investment in
the fundamentals, and you know that every time you see your
reflection in the re-chromed bumpers.
Inside, is exactly what you want on a muscle machine - a clean and
pristine black bucket seat interior (and don't forget to spot those
Yenko headrests.) The condition of these seats, as well as the door
panels, carpeting, headliner, and dash all let you know there was a
solid investment here. The driver gets plenty of goodies. Your
right hand will instantly gravitate to the Hurst shifter. Your left
one easily rests on the factory dual spoke steering wheel that also
gives you a clear view to the gauges. Plus, there's a set of
auxiliary readouts, so you always know what's going on in the
engine bay. But since this A-body has room to comfortably carry
four more people, you keep everyone comfortable with features like
the upgraded AM/FM/cassette player with modern digital tuner and
modern R134a air conditioning.
This might say 396 on the fenders, but the big block is really a
big upgrade to a 454 cubic-inch V8. Not only is there a nice
presentation with the shine of the valve covers, brake booster, and
air topper, but also there are performance upgrades so this Chevy
has a thunderous presence on the street. It starts with a MkIV
short deck block. Chevy people know this is a younger motor built
for performance in mind. The V8 inhales deeply through four-barrel
carburetor and Edelbrock Hi-rise aluminum intake. And it exhales
with authority out of the X-pipe performance dual exhaust. All this
power reliably gets to the road thanks to the Muncie M21
close-ratio four-speed manual transmission and the stout 12-bolt
rear end. As much as this is a true muscle car, there's plenty of
everyday drivability features such as power steering, front disc
brakes, and modern Nexen Roadian HT tires. There's even a large
aluminum radiator so that this muscle machine can run cool even if
you're in traffic with the A/C pumping.
Complete with maintenance records and a GPS-based anti-theft
system, this is the Chevelle that has it all... and it can all be
yours if you're fast enough to grab this deal. Call today!!!
