1968 Camaro SS 350. This car has been frame-off restored to original and stored in climate controlled area since restoration. Has born-with 295hp 350 engine and rear end. Replacement trans with no date or VIN stamp
Prior to purchasing in 2002, this California Camaro had not been registered since 1978 and was 99% complete to include smog equipment.
With exception of the starter, everything on the motor is original to include heads, valve covers, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds. carburetor, air cleaner distributor, voltage regulator, fan, pulleys, and radiator. The alternator is a correct part number and date code correct. I've attached a detailed listing of part numbers and dates.
Originally this Camaro had 4-wheel drum brakes. The brakes were upgraded to power disc brakes but the original master cylinder was retained as well as the other original brake components that came on the car.The brake booster is an original 9078 booster and the date code is within 3 weeks of the car's build date. Correct, original dual piston brake calipers were also restored and installed on the car.
This car received a frame-off restoration and every part was either restored or replaced. The metal on the car is the original metal as no panels, roof or floor needed to be replaced. A lot of attention was given during the restoration to complete the car back to its original state and the original parts were restored if at all possible.
Has the Muncie 4spd and original 12 bolt rear end with stock 3.31 gear.
The car is in excellent shape and drives as new. Paint is beautiful and lines match great. Tires are newer Coker bias-ply redlines.
Have spare tire to match as well as trunk mat, spare tire cover and original jack.
Will consider partial trade for 2003-2004 Mustang Mach 1 or similar.
