Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is excited to present this
truly unique 1980 Phillips Berlina. This neo-classic car is modeled
after a 1936 Mercedes-Benz 540K Special Roadster and was designed
by Charles W. Phillips . Built in Pompano Beach, FL by Phillips
Motor Car Corporation, this Berlina is one of less than 100 made.
More impressive is that is has less than 15,000 actual miles! This
gorgeous Berlina is built on a stretched frame of a 1980 C3
Corvette with a fiberglass body and a Corvette powertrain. The
350cid V8 provides this car with plenty of power and the smooth
shifting 3 speed automatic makes driving this a pleasure. Braking
is no problem with four wheel disc brakes. Standard features were
power brakes, power steering, a tilt wheel, and power tinted
windows. With a fresh new paint finish in the summer of 2017, the
Ivory and brown exterior is in excellent condition and the interior
looks just as good in beige. On the inside, the wood grain dash and
console look fantastic against the beige leather. This example has
air conditioning, a leather interior, six wire wheels with two
spares on the sides, and a T-top roof that give it that convertible
look. It is hard to find a 37 year old neo-classic in this
condition with all of these features. Take off the top and go for a
cruise down your favorite road, or bring it to a car show for
plenty of attention! To see 100+ HD pictures and a video of this
