Vehicle Description
This restored, original matching-numbers car was built in the last
week of April 1969. It is powered by a matching numbers 396/350hp
L34 engine with a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. The rear-end
gear ratio is 3.31, but the original 3.73 gears (posi-traction)
were changed out during the restoration. The original 3.73 gears
are in great shape and are included with the sale of the car. The
car retains the original Rochester carburetor but has an all-new
wiring loom, new glass, a Crower cam and Roller Rockers. It also
features new brakes, lines, gas tank and sending unit. The chassis
was removed and received new frame bushing and complete front end
with rebuilt coilsprings. The car received a complete new interior
with tilt steering wheel, reverse back-up lamps, Vintage Air, AM/FM
radio with iPod capability. The original SS gauges were rebuilt and
are all functioning, including the clock. It sports the
correct-code rims with new BFGoodrich radial TAs including the
spare rim/tire. The car was repainted the original Daytona Yellow
using PPG base coat/clear coat with a new black vinyl. During
restoration, no Build Sheets were located. All photos and receipts
of restoration will be included with the sale. This car runs
extremely well and took first place in its first car show in
Coronado, CA.
