Vehicle Description
Exceptionally rare, wickedly powerful, and an all-around stunner,
this 2008 Ford Mustang Twister Special (EF4) is an update on a
Mustang legend. So enthusiasts will respect the name, and everyone
else will respect the 450 horsepower it brings to the party.
Pony car fans know the Twister Special as the short-run of limited
edition 1970 Mustang sold through the Midwest. Well, R&A
Motorsports brought the legend back in 2008, and sold these
directly through Ford dealers. Less than 25 were ever made, and so
the update is actually far rarer than the original. But more than
just history and rarity, this is desirable because of its
performance appearance. Graber Orange is the perfect color for this
aggressive Mustang. It makes people stand at attention the moment
in comes into view. Plus, with less that 450 miles on the odometer
(and always garage-kept,) this original paint retains a
showroom-level shine. It's the perfect canvas for all the darker
elements like the chin spoiler, rear panel, and full black graphics
package. And it's more than just the dark side that makes this one
look fast standing still. The power bulge hood, centered lights in
the grille, hood locks, shaker hood, slotted side windows, and
integrated rear spoiler all come together to make for a total
package that leaves a lasting impression.
This one stated out life as a premium GT coupe, so it was already a
niece place to be before the Twister Special upgrades. And we love
that this ultra-rare pony is also one of the short-lived Glassback
coupes. It comes loaded with a power driver's seat, keyless entry,
power windows, power locks, power steering, cruise control, tilt
steering wheel, ABS, and dual & side airbags. The Shaker 500
AM/FM/CD/AUX stereo is so good that you can hear your tunes even
with the windows open at higher than legal speeds. You can even
stay cool in this hot pony with modern ice-cold air conditioning.
Plus, this Twister Edition has custom floor mats as well as
headrests in the leather bucket seats. There's a special plaque on
the dash that this you this was #18 in the limited production. But
your favorite upgrade will likely be the special gauges and
auxiliary readouts (including boost pressure) along the A-pillar.
They're a clear indication of something extra special under the
hood.
While this Mustang looks amazing inside and out, it's what's in the
engine bay that will make you fall in love/lust. The shaker hood is
force-feeding the Procharger supercharger. It's all sitting on top
of the original 4.6-liter V8. The new power figure for this monster
motor is rated around 450 horsepower. And the header-fed dual
exhaust lets the world know you've got one forceful pony. But this
kind of power also needs the best control. That's why you have a
five-speed manual transmission with Hurst shifter. Plus, R&A
upgraded the springs, shocks, and added front & rear sway bars.
Finishing out the package are Twister-branded CS69 wheels that make
way for the large Bare four-wheel disc brake package and sticky
Pirelli tires.
This was one of the expensive cars upgraded to the EF4 package, and
so the production numbers could be as low as 1 of 2 coupes optioned
this way. That's why a collectable like this comes with the right
paperwork, including original window sticker and owner's manual.
From all of this, you'll get the full picture on how this
ultra-fast, ultra-rare, and ultra-low mileage specialty build is
the kind of opportunity you may never see again. Call today!!!
