This restored Skylark is one of 1,690 built with the first-year
322ci Buick Fireball V8, also known as the "Nailhead," to
commemorate Buick's 50th Golden Anniversary. Largely handmade, the
Skylark was elegant and fashionable, with several distinguishing
characteristics, including its "Sweepspear" chrome side trim that
runs virtually the length of the car and a lower beltline, as well
as Kelsey-Hayes chromed wire wheels. The stylish car is dressed in
Matador Red with a Helsinki Red over white interior, and also
features 12-volt electronics and a 3-speed automatic transmission.
