Vehicle Description
This '56 Super Chevy convertible was built with no expense spared.
It started out as a rust-free California car and was designed as a
high-end Pro-Tour supercar. It is powered by a fully chromed and
polished ZZ502/500hp crate engine mated to a Doug Nash 5-speed
manual transmission with overdrive and a double-disc hydraulic
clutch. The engine compartment has been completely shave and
decked, all fluid lines are steel-braided and all wiring is hidden,
with the exception of the spark plug wires. The frame was
custom-ordered and built by Bel Air Classics with extra
reinforcements to support the torque of a high-output motor
combined with a convertible body. The frame has been powder-coated
and painted to match the exterior color. The rear end of the car
features a custom-made Kugal Engineering fully polished independent
rear suspension, while the front features a custom Dutchman
independent suspension with a 1" high performance anti-sway bar.
Both front and rear feature quad-polished, fully adjustable
coilover Bilsteen racing shocks. The front disc brakes are 12"
slotted and drilled with 4-piston Wilwood calipers. The body of
this Chevy is very straight after its full rotisserie restoration,
and everything fits great. The hood, trunk and doors have been
shaved, with the trunk and doors being accessed remotely. All of
the exterior chrome and stainless steel is in excellent condition.
The full custom interior is wrapped in the highest-grade Mercedes
leather and carpet, with burl wood accents in the dash and along
the side panels. All door locks, windows and the top are electric,
with all controls hidden in the center console. This sharp Chevy
drives well, handles great and stops on a dime.
