This Australian Ford GT40 Mk I re-creation features a steel space
frame, aluminum sheet covered panels and fiberglass spider, doors,
front and rear bonnets. The suspension is Q1A coilover shocks with
front and rear sway bar. The interior features original-style
leather seats, air conditioning, and Speedhut gauges GPS and
speedometer. The rear-view camera has a 7" split-screen display.
The power plant is a Ford 302ci engine with forged crank, Stage 3
cam, 1.6 hydraulic rollers and Weber 441IDF openstack. It is also
equipped with MSD ignition, Audi 0.16 5-speed manual gearbox with
0.64 final drive and Corvette driveshaft. It rides on
Halibrand-style 16" wheels and Mickey Thompson tires. It has taken
first place in two car shows, but most importantly, at the Spring
Nationals at Sam Pack, the car scored Best in Class, Best in Show
and Best Overall in Show. This fresh build is well-sorted and has
750 miles.
