The authenticity of this CSX 4000 series Cobra from Shelby
American, Inc., is documented by the manufacturer's statement of
origin signed by Carrol Shelby himself. This one-owner Cobra holds
a CA SB-100 title indicating it is California-smog-exempt for the
life of the vehicle. It is powered by a 511ci aluminum Shelby 427
FE special-order big-bore block engine mated to a Tremec TKO 600
5-speed manual transmission with overdrive, Lakewood bellhousing
and McLeod flywheel, clutch, press plate and hydraulic throwout
bearing. It has black CeramaKrome-treated headers and side pipes,
dual A-arm, coilover shock, 4-wheel independent suspension, Shelby
rack & pinion steering, Shelby dual-piston Baer caliper disc brakes
and Safecraft 5-pound halon fire suppression system. Its hand-laid
fiberglass body is beautifully finished in PPG Titanium Silver, and
the whole thing rides on Halibrand reproduction pin-drive wheels
with Shelby cast stainless-steel knockoffs and Goodyear billboard
