Vehicle Description
Nicknamed "Silver Sled," this is a professionally built 1955 Ford
pickup totally customized to pay homage to the legendary Kopper
Kart pickup created by iconic customizer George Barris. Just like
Kopper Kart before it, "Silver Sled" features a highly modified
body, a custom 1940s Mercury grille and innumerable handcrafted
features to create a stunning visual presence. Thousands of hours
of custom fabrication work and tons of money went into this build,
leaving no panel on the truck untouched. Completed in late 2017,
"Silver Sled" rides on a beautifully laid-out and highly detailed
custom black powder-coated chassis featuring a Mustang II front
end, Ford 9" rear end, and custom two-piece Billet Specialties
wheels. It is powered by a professionally built 460ci Ford V8
engine featuring a Weiland high-rise intake, Edelbrock carburetor,
MSD ignition system and Ford Racing valve covers all cooled by a
4-core aluminum radiator and mated to an awesome-sounding custom
exhaust system. A professionally built Ford C6 automatic
transmission and custom driveline efficiently delivers power to the
massive rear tires, while a Wilwood master cylinder and 4-piston
Wilwood brakes with 12" drilled rotors provide the stopping power.
"Silver Sled's" scintillating body is bathed in a custom-mixed PPG
paint that is wonderfully complemented by a totally custom black
Ultraleather and suede interior featuring power and fully bolstered
sport bucket seats, and a beautiful center gauge and stereo stack
completely swaddled in Ultraleather and suede. A custom Alpine
audio system provides further entertainment and includes SiriusXM
satellite radio and Bluetooth connectivity.
