Vehicle Description
This Chevelle is a twin-turbo LS powered '66 that underwent a
meticulous no-expense-spared nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration.
Everything on this car is new. The 5.7-liter LS1 engine that powers
this Chevelle was torn down and rebuilt with Callies forged rods
and Wiseco forged pistons. All of the bearings were changed out for
Clevites and the rotating assembly was fully balanced. Breathing
life into this LS1 are two 62mm Precision turbos, while the car
breathes out of a 3" Flowmaster exhaust system with X-pipe. Fuel
comes from an Areomotive fuel supply and an Edelbrock Pro-Flo
injector system. This engine is paired to a built 4L80 automatic
transmission with a Strange Dana Trutrac 60 high-performance
posi-traction rear end to put its power to the road. The body
panels are as straight as can be, with smooth contours and crisp
lines, and the panel gaps line up well. The laser-straight body is
finished in vibrant, rich Medium Blue coated in clear to give it
that mirror-like, show-quality finish. The glass is all clear and
easy to see through; the bumpers reflect like a mirror and the
grille is in great condition. The bottom of this car looks just as
clean as the top. The pans are all solid and the frame has been
media-blasted and coated. The show-quality interior features a set
of hand-reworked seats and matching door panels, all-new stain-free
carpet, LED-lit Vintage Air controls, and a Twist Machine
paddle-shift kit. The custom Pro-Comp gauges are all clear and easy
to read, and the addition of a FAST wideband, boost gauge, oil
pressure, temperature and amps gauges round out the detailed
interior nicely.
