Vehicle Description
This 1951 Power Wagon is the original Dodge 4-wheel drive truck
that has earned a reputation for tremendous pulling power and
stamina. It is from Emmet County, Estherville, Iowa and is a one
owner Power Wagon prior to this vintage restoration. The
restoration was a total frame-off high-quality rotisserie build for
this complete matching-numbers original Power Wagon. The project
included stripping the frame to bare metal, blasting all jambs, and
hard to reach areas of the body. It is powered by the original, but
completely restored, 230ci inline 6-cylinder engine with 2-speed
transfer case located behind a 4-speed manual transmission. Other
equipment includes a front-mounted Badland 9000lb electric winch,
all-new wiring, brake lines, hoses and fuel lines. It has also been
converted to a 12-volt electrical system for more reliability.
Wheels are original split wheels with Super Lug military tires. The
body has been beautifully painted a two-tone gloss black and
metallic Willow Green that has a mirror-like finish. The interior
is standard Power Wagon fare with the correct fiberboard headliner,
original gauges, data plates and metal floor. However, the bench
seat has been upgraded to a two-tone look giving it a bit of
comfort. Custom rubber mats were also cut to fit the uniquely
shaped floors of the Power Wagon. The bed is paneled with new oak
wood stained walnut to compliment this builds design.
