Vehicle Description
This is a one owner example of a -ton 4-wheel drive stepside
pickup that has been a Colorado truck all its life. It is powered
by a 292ci straight-6 engine and 4-speed manual transmission. This
truck retains all of its factory components, including the original
bed. Many wear items, such as shock absorbers are original, as
special ordered from the factory in the spring of 1965. Anything
that needed to be rebuilt to original specs was, including the
engine, brakes, re-cored radiator, small differential pinon shaft
bearing, factory free-wheeling Hub-Lok front axle hubs, 62 Amp
alternator, and 4.53 rear differential. Only the paint and
windshield are new. This is a unique truck regarding originality
and state of preservation. The original order form from Burt
Chevrolet in Englewood, CO, a few early service invoices, the
original owner's manual in new condition and a wheel recall letter
from GM are available from the owner.
