Vehicle Description
This multiple award-winning 1964 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia 2-door
coupe includes a Certificate of Authenticity from the Stittung Auto
Museum Volkswagen, showing that it left the German factory on July
4, 1964. It underwent a complete nut-and-bolt restoration using as
many of the original, refurbished components as possible to keep
this car stock. The original Texas chassis was a garage find from
an owner who stored it for over 16 years, and was kept virtually
intact. The air-cooled engine was rebuilt to 1285cc and is mated to
an overhauled 4-speed manual transmission. It wears its
factory-code original paint color of Manila Yellow, and has dealer
color option Chocolate Brown upholstery that is stitched like the
original and retains all original interior chrome accents. It has
all new rubber, overhauled brakes and a Bendix Sapphire push-button
radio.
