The Z06 was originally designed as a convertible, and the same aluminum frame of that design was adapted for the coupe; therefore, there was no palpable difference in rigidity between the two. Aerodynamic features include a front splitter and a carbon fiber hood with a cooling vent as well as a rear spoiler that incorporates an optional wicker-bill to maximize downforce.
A top speed of 195 mph, 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and quarter mile in 11.2 seconds at a trap speed of 127 makes this beautiful and aerodynamically efficient supercar among the fastest road cars in the modern automotive world.
The Z06 was co-developed with the Chevrolet Corvette C7.R that won the Weather Tech Sports Car Championship and thereby benefits from all the development work provided by the race team.
