for Ferrari: the first front-engine V-8, the first use of direct
injection, the first seven-speed transmission, the first true

decrease emissions but because the California is heavier than the
F430 it shares its engine architecture with, the tuning is
optimized to boost torque by 14 lb-ft at the expense of 29
horsepower, for a total of 454 hp and 357 lb-ft. All this power is
sent through a Getrag dual-clutch paddle shifted seven speed
transmission for smooth acceleration and lightning fast gear
changes allowing this Italian grand touring car to sprint to 60mph
in just 3.5 seconds and running a � mile in just under 12 seconds
at 117mph. The cars ceramic brakes have been fined tuned compared
to the other Ferrari's you'll find on the road, so they are much
more user friendly yet still responsive stopping this car at 60mph
in just 100 feet. The California features an all new Chassis to
help keep this hard top convertible rigid and agile in the corners.
