1965 Mustang K-Code Convertible:Ragoon Red Exterior, Red Interior,
White convertible Top, (All Numbers Matching)Rare K-Code Factory
271 HP/289, (VIN # stamped on passenger side of block), Factory
4-Speed Transmission, Correct 9" Differential, Styled steel wheels,
Red Line tires, power top, odometer shows 40,643 miles which is
believed to be correct.Believe it or not the Standard "K" Code
Convertible is much rarer that the "K" Code GT version. Less than
1% of 1965 Mustangs were "K" Codes. Currently there are (173) "K"
Code Convertibles known and listed in the High Performance
Registry. This is as close as it gets to a Shelby Mustang. This is
what Shelby's were from, the High Horsepower "K" Code Mustang. Now
imagine Red on Red "K" Code, 4-Speed and Convertible all in one. It
is a Rocket-Ship, faster than a Raped-Ape! #engine. It doesn't get
any better than this. The standard interior features of the 1965
Mustang included adjustable driver and passenger bucket seats, an
AM radio, and a floor mounted shifter in a variety of color
options. Ford added additional interior options during the 1965
model year. The Interior Decor Group was popularly known as "Pony
Interior" due to the addition of embossed running ponies on the
seat fronts, and also included integral armrests, woodgrain appliqu
accents, and a round gauge cluster that would replace the standard
Falcon instrumentation.
