Was $39,995.00 Now $33,995.00This1942 Packard Clipper has had a
excellent restoration and very nicely detailed. Powered by 85hp
Flat Head V8 with 3-speed Manual Transmission, Ford script fog
lights, very rare factory radio, banjo steering wheel, electric
wipers and service and restoration records/receiptsThe Clipper
concept of the previous year had been significantly expanded for
the 20th series, which was launched on August 25, 1942, and in each
of the four model series Six (119), Eight (120), Super Eight (160)
And Custom Super Eight (180), there were Clipper versions.New was
the Club Sedan now also a two-door version with rounded hatchback
to choose from. The bulk of the 1942 production was concentrated on
the 120-inch (3,000mm) wheelbase junior models, but the One Sixty
and One Eighty Clippers proved conclusively that Packard was as
much a builder of luxury cars as ever. The 1942 One Sixty sedan,
for example, was 9.5 inches (240mm) longer and 140 pounds (64kg)
heavier than its square-rigged 1941 predecessor. The One Eighty was
wider, almost as long, with more interior width, and with almost as
much legroom as the long-wheel-base 1942 One Eighty, which still
used the old-style Packard bodywork.
