For Sale: 1923 Ford 1-Ton Pickup in Beverly, Massachusetts
1923 Ford Model TT Truck. This Model TT has remained in the same
ownership since 1970.
Since the current ownership this TT has been modified with such
upgrades as a 1926-27 wide brake-band transmission which greatly
improved the braking. An American Bosch ignition system was also
added. An American Bosch (Essex Motors) Ignition System is a rare,
original period accessory replacing Ford's unreliable and
problematic timer, vibrators and coils, transmission magnets,
stationary coils and manual spark advance. The original oversized
TT truck tires were replaced with standard front 30 x 3.5" tires,
enabling the need for only one spare tire. The cab roof height was
also lowered slightly to allow the truck to clear a standard height
garage door.
This Model TT also features:
A Martin-Parry #252A Universal Platform Express Body. Through 1925,
Ford made the truck chassis' only. The rear Express Body (cargo bed
and tail gate) has all original hardware, metal mfg. tags, paint,
decals, and pin striping explaining the unrestored appearance. The
front cab has a rare stamped serial number (1546), original seat
frame and floor boards, professionally duplicated decals and
applied pin striping as shown in the M-P Dealers catalog. This may
possibly be the only existing M-P body in it's original, unrestored
condition.
The engine and transmission are professionally rebuilt by master,
museum quality antique auto restorers.
The TT Truck rear axle has an optional 5 1/16:1 worm gear set for
higher top speeds. 7 gear set available.
All body parts are original Ford and Martin Parry.
The truck bed was reproduced from the Martin Parry Dealer's
Catalog.
Safety glass front windows.
Professionally restored seat and backrest cushions.
A period reproduction transmission oil screen and particle
magnet.
An AK-U-RET period reproduction oil level dipstick.
Oil Lamps: E & J and other, all working; including (2) side lamps,
& (1) tail lamp assembly.
A period, after-market rear stoplight with an after-market
transmission mounted switch.
Rear View mirrors, one on vehicle as purchased and (1) added.
New tire tubes and liners, including the spare.
Rebuilt original ammeter and a solid-state generator cutout.
A "Socony" wooden gas tank dipstick (gas gauge), found in the truck
when purchased.
LeBaron-Bonney cab roof covering.

M-P Brewster green body color.
Owner created data and comprehensive maintenance journal which will
go with the successful transfer.
Driver and maintenance training available.

Martin Parry brass key FOB.
Many years of "Model T Times" journals from The Model T Ford Club
International (MTFCI).
Other original spare parts available at additional cost.
