Vehicle Description
1966 Batmobile Replica Built on a 1959 Lincoln Premiere chassis
Steel-bodied Built by Jay Ohrberg Hollywood Cars Lincoln V8 engine
with an automatic transmission Highly accurate Reported as the 6th
ever replica built Are you a Batman fan, and want to own your own
Gotham Cruiser? MotoeXotica Classic Cars is excited to present this
1966 Bat-Car, that has been in museums all over the world! This
Bat-Car is reported as the 6th replica ever made, and is very
accurate to the car seen on the 1960 Batman TV series, as well as
it is reported to have been used to tour the U.S. highlighting the
dangers of alcohol and drugs to children. It was sold by a private
collector in Los Angeles during the 1980s to a collector in
Germany, and then was purchased again by a museum in 1991. It
resided in the "Cars of the Stars" collection, which was considered
to be the one of the finest collection of film and television cars
in the world, for a while, then made its way to the Caribbean and
was displayed in another museum there. It finally made its way to a
private owner that we are pleased to sell it for. The steel body of
this Batmobile is in beautiful shape, with all of the details you'd
expect. From the black paint, to the working red light on top, to
the exhaust that makes its exit right in the middle of the rear of
the car, and even the futuristic-shaped plexiglass front and rear
windows. It also features Cragar wheels all the way around, which
completes the look. The car does have some cosmetic flaws such as
some scuffed red stripes and dents. On the inside, the dual
black/red seats are very plush, the original Lincoln Premiere
steering wheel has been modified to look more like the real
Batmobile, and the original Lincoln gauge cluster is still intact,
although all of the gauges are inoperable, other than the
under-dash oil pressure gauge. Other than that, it features a "Bat
Turn" lever, phone, and floor shifter all for show. Under the
reverse-opening hood, you'll find a Lincoln V8 engine, with a 3
speed automatic transmission behind it. Besides smoking some, the
engine is in good working order with a 4bbl carburetor. This car is
currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. This
Batmobile is sold on a Bill of Sale only. Sorry, we do NOT have a
title and cannot get one.GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!!!! PLEASE CLICK HERE
