Vehicle Description
This 1998 Ferrari 355 Spider was built in the summer of 1997 and
finished in Giallo Modena (Yellow Modena) with a black leather
interior and the ultra desirable six-speed manual transmission.
Although the F1 transmissions were a tempting bit of technology
back in the day, they are a dated bit of technology today and are a
tough sell in the marketplace. This 355 was shipped to Florida
where it was sold to its first owner in the fall of 1997. The
Carfax indicates this car remained in Florida until 2013 and was
serviced regularly by each of its owners. After being purchased by
the present owner in 2013, this 355 received a significant amount
of service work and restoration that is necessary on Ferraris of
this age regardless of mileage. Over time some sticky bits have
been tended to, the power convertible top was repaired, the
original radio replaced and the exhaust and catalytic converters
were upgraded to a freer flowing Fabspeed system. Receipts for work
performed since 2014 are on hand. The body and paintwork are in
very good condition and the interior shows some age, but is
presentable. The tires are in good shape and all belts, fluids and
filters are within their factory-recommended intervals. A fresh
California smog certificate is on hand and the car is complete with
a tool kit and car cover. This is a very desirable example of a
manual transmission V-8 Ferrari that will make a wonderful weekend
driver.
Below is a summary of the receipts we have on hand. In short, the
top end has been done (6,000 miles ago), the belts, fluids and
clutch were done December 2016 at 21,901 miles, and most recently
the entire wiring system, engine ECU and exhaust system were
repaired/modified to comply with CA emissions. Carfax is
