The fifth generation Ford Fairlane was a medium sized car that was designed to compete with other upmarket models such as the AMC Rambler and Dodge Custom 880. It featured a state of the art unibody frame and had four boxed frame structures. The new models were styled to look like the full size models and had stacked headlights came in sedan, convertible, hardtop, and station wagons body styles. The GT model was the sporty model in the line up and offered a number of upgrades.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this gorgeous, fully restored 1967 Fairlane GT for your consideration. It features a 4 year restoration job and a date code correct 390cid V8 4bbl and 4-speed manual. The engine and transmission are both rebuilt and the V8 has been given a whole host of upgraded parts including new headers, cams, brand new 4bbl carburetor, and high output oil pump. The odometer was returned to zero when the restoration was completed. The car is equipped with power front disc brakes, power steering, working heater and air conditioning. The power steering and air condition were not original to the car, but have been added using period Fairlane parts. Original a light blue, this car has been repainted in a gorgeous maroon with black interior. The owner describes that the car came to him basically as a shell and he has done all of the repaint and refinished the body. The interior is also in perfect shape and looks incredible. The owner also says the rear quarter panels were replaced with brand new old stock 1967 Fairlane fenders and had them perfectly fitted to his car.
The current owner has owned the car since 2012 and put countless amounts of work and money into making this one of the the nicest Fairlanes you will find. There is a large amount of receipts and some extra parts that go along with this rare S-code Fairlane GT. This car looks nicer than when it left the factory and you won't be disappointed!
