Pontiac Trans Am for consideration. The car was sold new by D&J
Pontiac Olds, of Louisburg, NC on September 16, 1976 and according
the original window sticker was delivered with the following
options: 400 CID V8 Engine, 4-speed manual transmission, variable
ratio power steering, bucket seats with shoulder belts, Endura
bumpers, sport mirrors, Formula Steering wheel, Rally II wheels,
Rally Gauges with clock and tach, shaker hood, air extractors,
chrome splitter tail pipe extensions, Soft Ray tinted glass, power
windows, roof drip moldings, custom air conditioning, console,
cruise control, tilt steering wheel, stow-away spare tire, AM/FM
stereo and Hood Decal. The car appears to have had two owners and
features an older restoration including a new engine installed at
that time along with an automatic transmission. The interior is
restored to spec with bucket seats, console, signature turned
aluminum dash fascia, formula wheel, etc. The exterior is restored
in its original color combination of starlight black with gold
accents with the firebird hood decal.
Today, the car remains in great shape inside and out and
mechanically starts right up and drives out great chewing up
endless amounts of pavement in short order.
The Pontiac Trans Am is iconic especially in this color scheme. The
car offered here is a fully document bargain. Documentation
includes: Original Sales order, original warranty pamphlet,
original books, original window sticker, service receipts from new,
service receipts from famed Royal Pontiac in Raleigh, NC.
