the best Chevrolets your money can buy. Over the last six years
we've sold a plethora of second generation Corvettes, and when we
tell you this Rally Red roadster is one of the market's best

experience. Not only is this Chevy a numbers-matching roadster, it
sports a quality, body-off restoration that was completed in the
summer of 2015. Now that we have your undivided attention, it's our
pleasure to bring you the latest in our line of awesome Corvette
convertibles!
BODYWORK/TRIM
Assembled at GM's storied St. Louis manufacturing facility on
December 6th, 1966, and rolling out of a professional restoration
in the summer of 2015, this polished drop-top currently reflects
correct code 974 Rally Red 2-stage. That bright pigment highlights
a sea of solid fiberglass that, thanks to the rebuild, presents
exceptionally well. Of course, that fiberglass wouldn't be as solid
had the car not spent most of its life in the possession of
dedicated enthusiasts. And today, roughly 170 miles later, this
vintage cruiser is a clean, well-maintained classic that's ready to
drop jaws and carve curves!
Red Corvettes are literally the stuff dreams are made of, and,
thanks to acute attention to detail, this razor-sharp roadster is
the epitome of legendary American motoring. At the front of the
car, bullet-style marker lights, mirrored bumpers and a red, white
and black cross-flag emblem cage a stainless egg crate grille.
Behind that grille, a correct small block hood flows to matte
wipers which, along with polished stainless trim and tight black
canvas, frame a factory-tint greenhouse. At the sides of that
glass, simple heat extractors lead traditional door handles, a
classy bowtie mirror and a factory antenna. And at the back of the
car, dual-mode tail lamps split the difference between mirrored
bumpers, a chrome-trimmed fuel filler and a correct Sting Ray
emblem.
ENGINE
Tilt this Corvette's lightweight hood and you'll find a 327 cubic
inch L79 V8 that hangs a September (J) 13th (13), 1966 (6) casting
date and familiar 3892657 casting number behind a high performance
"HT" suffix stamp and matching 105372 partial VIN. Introduced as a
formidable companion for street prowling Sting Rays, this high
performance small block left the factory twisting solid 10 to 1
compression into a stout 350 horsepower. At the top of the spry
mill, a polished air cleaner funnels wind in to a correct Holley
carburetor that's threaded onto requisite stainless fuel lines.
Below that juice box, a familiar Winters intake perfectly
complements finned Corvette valve covers. At the back of that
intake, chrome-cased ignition shoots spark past correct exhaust
manifolds. And at the front of those manifolds, a stamped radiator
cycles coolant through pliable hoses and old school tower clamps.
Naturally, brilliant Chevy Orange paint coats the engine from its
clean oil pan all the way to its polished oil filler and, as
always, looks great against GM's Satin Black bay. As expected,
correct textures and decals are present and accounted for. And
details like a correct alternator, a familiar Harrison expansion
tank and a tagged Delco battery ensure this Chevy runs every bit as
good as it looks.
DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION
Flip this Vette upside down and you'll find a solid, no-hit chassis
that's in good shape and, thanks to minimal road time, still bears
a striking resemblance to how it rolled out of the restoration
shop. Behind the 327, an original Muncie 4-speed hangs a familiar
3885010 casting number next to a Muncie (P) assembled on September
(P) 8th (08), 1967 (7) build stamp and matching 105372 partial VIN.
Naturally, that gearbox twists a familiar Corvette third-member. At
the ends of the car, a tagged double A-arm front and independent
rear suspension is completely sorted down to its tough transverse
leaf, standard manual steering and Gloss Black control arms. Above
those sturdy bones, clean floor tubs ride a straight, Satin Black
frame. At the corners of those floors, standard disc brakes mix
good handling characteristics with quick and solid stops. At the
edges of those brakes, old school side-pipes disperse a fantastic
soundtrack. And red-trimmed turbines twist 7.75-15 BF Goodrich
Silvertown redlines around monochromatic bowties.
INTERIOR
Between this C2's doors you'll find a Standard Black interior
that's been fully restored to factory specifications. Tight vinyl
seats frame a thin console that's equipped with a correct chrome
shifter. In front of that shifter, a monochromatic dash hangs
rebuilt telemetry over a correct Delco AM/FM pushbutton radio. At
the sides of that dash, stylish door panels melt in to fade-free
carpet. In front of the driver, a faux Rosewood steering wheel laps
a familiar cross-flag emblem. And behind the passengers, a fully
carpeted storage compartment provides some much needed space.
This numbers-matching Vette has it all: great looks, excellent
power and a fresh restoration that would take years to duplicate.
If you're in the market for some solid Detroit muscle that's poised
to build equity for years to come, you're looking at your next
classic!
