Vehicle Description
A unique history, big V8 power, and droptop fun come together for
quite an affordable price on this special 1997 Pontiac Firebird
Trans Am WS6.
Bold Bright red paint, even brighter polished wheels, and the
Pontiac name in big block letters on top of the windshield - this
car was built to stand out... and for a very good reason. You're
looking at one of only 25 vehicles that was chosen to be a parade
car at 1997 Talladega NASCAR race. There's even a letter from
General Motors to prove it! That's why we're also excited about the
preserved condition of this car. The panels are straight, the trim
is complete, and the paint is even original. We're glad to see that
last one, because this is such a significant vehicle. And it even
still has a nice shine after two decades. Plus, there's just an
instant draw to one of the sleekest designs that ever hit the road.
The Firebird Trans Am's pointed front end, Ram Air dual hood
scoops, and exceptionally integrated rear spoiler remind us all why
we miss GM's performance division.
With such low mileage (less than 1,450 miles averaged annually)
means there was little time to even crease the leather in the
interior. So the white still looks absolutely fantastic today. A
special parade car like this is going to be loaded with all the
best features. That means keyless entry, power locks, power seats,
dual airbags, cruise control, tilt steering, and power seats. Plus,
the premium factory AM/FM/cassette stereo with seven-band equalizer
and CD changer has enough power to easily be heard with the top
down. And speaking of open top fun, the power windows and power
convertible roof mean you never have to leave the driver seat to go
from enclosed luxury to a wind-in-your-hair experience. And because
the air conditioning is blowing nice and cold, you can do this all
summer long.
Checking the WS6 option at you Pontiac dealer meant the Corvette's
LT1 5.7-liter motor would be living under your hood. And on an
original machine like this, it's great to see the numbers-matching
motor in the exceptionally preserved engine bay. And when Pontiac
people look at the photos, they know tis fuel-injected V8 has
another key factory upgrade that came in this package. The Ram Air
intake boosted power from the standard Trans Am's 285 hp to 305.
Plus, the grip of Goodyear Eagle RS tires and sway bars front &
rear keep you in full control on this hot T/A. This Pontiac might
have all the right go-fast features, but because it's a modern
classic, it is also everyday comfortable. This includes the
convenience of a four-speed automatic, which provides enough gears
to be quick off the line, as well as cruise in overdrive on the
highway. There's also power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and
ABS to give you a great modern driving experience.
Complete with a reproduction window sicker, owner's manual, and
aforementioned notarized letter from GM, this is a unique and
powerful droptop. So if you want affordability and collectability,
you need to hurry to grab this Trans Am. Call today!!!
