Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this stunning 1978 Ford Mustang which is in beautiful overall condition and priced to sell. Previous owners kept meticulous care of this Mustang over the years and there are several service records, gas fill ups, and oil change receipts included, and several original dealer documents. This Mustang features a nice repaint in Silver with Red stripes completed in 3/2017, an original Red vinyl interior, the original factory drive line, and the very sought after T-Tops and 4 speed manual transmission. This Mustang is finished in a desirable color combination of Silver with Red stripes over Red vinyl interior.
Exterior
The Silver with Red stripes exterior is in very nice overall
condition. This Mustang was treated to a repaint in 2017 and
has a great shine and smooth gloss. The paint is in great
overall condition and the Red stripes really set this Mustang
off. Both bumpers are in good shape with no flaking or faded
paint. The tires are brand new with full tread left and are sized
185/65/13 and the wheels are Magnum original style wheels.
All weather stripping and window sweeps are in good original
condition. The hatch works as it should and the struts
hold up the hatch easily. The wonderful T-Tops come off and
on easily and do not rattle while driving and are in excellent
overall condition. All glass is in excellent condition.
Interior
The Red vinyl interior of this Mustang is mostly original and in
great overall condition. The seat covers are original
and in good overall condition but the drivers seat bottom and
bolster have some extra wear. The carpet is in good
condition with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original
dash is in superb condition with no cracks, no warping, and no
fading. The stereo was upgraded to a digital cassette unit
newer speakers. The original door panels are in great
condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The
original headliner is in great overall shape. All interior
and exterior lights and gauges work as they should including the
overhead light. The horn, stereo, wipers, and blower
motor on all speeds works. The warning buzzers and lights all
work and so does the blinker indicator lights. Everything
that I can test works on this car including the cigarette
lighter. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma
what so ever.
Mechanical
This Mustang is in good mechanical condition and runs and drives
nicely. Most importantly the original drive line is still
with the car. Service records, gas fill ups, and numerous
receipts come with the car. A new starter was added recently
and so was a new gas tank, fuel pump, sending unit, and fuel
filter. New belts and hoses were added and the radiator was
flushed. New coil, ignition module, spark plug wires, and
spark plugs were installed. A New exhaust system was just
installed with dual mufflers. The brakes were recently
serviced and stop very well and do not pull to either side while
stopping. The emergency brake needs some work to operate
properly. We have driven this car numerous times and it
always performs well, it does not run hot, it rides tight,
and is always a joy to drive. The smiles, thumbs up, and
attention you get driving this car is contagious. In the
video one can observe this car running and driving with no
excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs
well. This Mustang is an good driver that feels great on the
road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting
or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles
well, and runs good. Also, the engine is clean and
nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. There is a
lot of originality under the hood and throughout the car.
This Mustang is a tremendous amount of fun rowing through the gears
with the T Tops removed on a sunny day.
