Vehicle Description
Rare air conditioning, I've never seen one in an old VW. American
industrial designer Walter Dorwin Teague included the Karmann Ghia
in his list of the world's most beautifully designed products. I
agree, I've always thought that they were better looking then the
Porsche! This car had tbe same owner from 1976 until 2001. We sold
this car 10 years ago and just purchased it back from the same
person. He recently spent $6,000 on a professional paint job. He
says it was a very solid car. It has a beautiful smooth finish now.
Bumpers could use replacing.
Has custom wheels including matched spare. Interior is overall very
good. Recently replaced headliner which involved removing all the
glass. Carpet looks replaced. No back seat, which was useless
anyway. Has carpeted deck with door that opens to a carpeted
compartment. Trunk is clean. Has carpet, never used spare which
also gives pressure to the washer fluid. Engine compartment is
clean. Floor pan is solid.
This is the last year of the Karmann Ghia. It featured the biggest
most powerful motor. It's an easy car to maintain. Parts are very
available. This is a stylish sportscar!
