This final edition 1996 C4 Corvette is nicely presented in classic white with contrasting red leather interior. It is well-optioned with power rack and pinion steering, four wheel disc brakes, air conditioning, power windows and locks, tilt steering column and cruise control. The chassis and underhood area is clean and very well detailed.1996 was the final year of C4 production, and featured OBD II (On-Board Diagnostics), run flat tires, and the 300 hp LT4 engine. This engine featured reverse-flow cooling (the heads were cooled before the block), which allowed for a higher compression ratio of 10.5:1. Also new for was Acceleration Slip Regulation (ASR), a form of traction control which utilized the Corvette's brakes, spark retard, and throttle close-down to prevent excessive rear wheel spin and possible loss of control. The traction control device could be switched off if desired.
