Overview:

Here is an absolutely amazing, once in a lifetime find. This is a beautiful, survivor 1960 Buick Electra 225 convertible in unbelievable condition inside and out. It is almost a completely all-original car with original paint, interior and chrome that all look amazing. This car was sold new at James Cashman Buick in Las Vegas, NV. The first owner leased the car for a year then it was sold to the second owner who took care of the car for the rest of its life. It has spent its entire life in Boulder City, NV were the owner pampered the car for the past 56 years until his passing. In 1977 the car was put away in excellent storage until just this year. It is one of the most well kept cars we have ever seen that has been put away for so long.  The car has 44K documented original miles on it with a complete log on the car starting in 1962 when the car had 13K miles on it. The car has a ton of original documentation that goes with the car, which is all, pictured in the ad here. 

This car is very well equipped from the factory with rare bucket seats with a center console, power seat, power windows, speed warning indicator and super rare factory air conditioning (which less then 10% percent were equipped with). It still has it original 1969 Nevada plates on it, showing the last registration was in 1977, which was the last time the car was really used.  The pictures truly do not do this car justice of how nice and original in really is! 

In 2015 at an auction in Amelia Island, this same car with the same options sold for over $135,000. The only difference is that car was fully restored and this car is completely original. I would take the original car over the restored one any day. As, they are only original once. And to have one this nice of an original is like finding a needle in a haystack. This is truly an authentic piece of American history that needs to preserved!!

Exterior:

This Electra shows beautifully. It has 98% original paint that looks absolutely amazing. The paint is absolutely ding and dent free. The only minor flaws on the car are a few stone chips that have been touched up on the hood from driving and they are hardly noticeable. The body is solid as a rock and 100 percent rust free. All the panels fit perfect as the car has never been apart. The All of the chrome and trim on the car is completely original and looks amazing still. It still has all four original T3 headlights in the car that work. The original white soft top looks great still. We did replace the rear window due to yellowing and had the power top motor rebuilt. It even has its original red top boot that is in great condition still. It is sitting on its original wheels with near perfect hubcaps and older bias ply Eldorado tires that were put on it years ago. The tires would need to be replaced just due to age.  

Interior:

The beautiful all original red leather interior looks amazing still in the car. It even has its original red carpeting that has one small wear mark in the driver’s side floor. The dash, gauge cluster and steering wheel all look mint. Absolutely everything works in the car except the clock and air conditioning (which is 100 percent complete. All the ash trays and cigarette lighters in the car look like new and shows the car has never even been smoked in. Inside the glove box is like brand new with its original decals and items that have been in there since the 1970’s. Inside the trunk is near mint and all original. With its original US Royal spare tire, original jack and many extras that came in the car when we got in out of storage. 

Mechanically:

The car runs and drives excellent. After pulling the car out of storage we went through the fuel system, gave it a complete tune up and went through the brake system. This car needs absolutely nothing mechanically and is ready to drive and enjoy. The air conditioning system is all there and 100 percent complete but we have not tried to charge the system. The exhaust is nice and quiet and the car runs nice and smooth.
