For sale in our Dallas showroom is a genuine icon of the 1970's. A
1970 Chevrolet El Camino, built to be mildly The engine is a
freshly built 355 cubic inch V8 with just 1500 test and tune miles
on it. An upgraded camshaft, ported and polished heads, and an
Edelbrock Performer intake manifold with 650 CFM Holley carburetor.
All of this is backed by a built TH400 3-speed automatic with a
2800 RPM stall torque converter and 4.11 gears on a Posi in the
12-bolt rear. The A/C system was serviced and converted to R134a
refrigerant, and a few chrome dress-up pieces look great in the
engine compartment. The interior is mildly modified, the low-back
bucket seats wrapped in comfortable gray fabric. Custom door panels
were built to match. The metallic grey paint was laid over smooth
solid metal. A small cowl hood was added for that muscular look.
All round the body hand painted pin stripes were applied for that
custom look. The wheels and tires are a vintage muscle look with
the white letters and multi hole aluminum wheels. Everything looks
just about right on this car. Reliable horsepower, cold ac, and a
