Are you a classic car collector who likes to make an entrance? Do
you enjoy being the center of attention? Few other vehicles would
attract as much attention as this one would at a local cruise event
or car show. MotoeXotica Classic Cars is proud to present this 1958
Custom Dragster! Complete with original fiberglass tub and rebuilt
and updated chassis and motor this old school rail is what started
drag racing in the day and almost impossible to find today!
Finished in burgundy and white outside with a white interior, this
dragster's paint and trim are in overall very good order, complete
with the phrase Soc-Hop' on the sides. As a whimsical touch,
there's a "wind-up" key at the rear. There are no glass panels or
lights on this vehicle. It has five-spoke Rocket Racing Wheels
inside of thick racing slicks in back and bicycle-type wire wheels
inside of older 3.00-19 Dunlop tires in front. Using a rebuilt and
updated chassis on a 113-inch wheelbase, this front engine dragster
employs a 1957 Cadillac 365 CID V-8 engine with a log-type intake,
gold Cadillac valve covers and four two-barrel carburetors. It's
mated to a direct-drive transmission and has a transverse leaf
spring suspension in front, a Ford banjo-type rear end and rear
drum brakes. The car operates via direct drive transmission through
a custom jackshaft from motor to rear end. The rail does have a
single chrome pull brake handle and also a clutch pedal with fork
and actuator. The rail starts via a included detachable battery
start box with included cable to bring power to the motor. Inside,
the all-white buggy with its bucket seat and matching roll cage
looks great. There's an aircraft-type two-handed steering yoke with
red handgrips. Below that are oil temperature and oil pressure
gauges. This dragster is sold with a custom-built tilt trailer.
Even if you never publicly drove or showed it, this would be an
ideal piece to add to any collection and a conversation starter
