The exterior of the car is flat out stunning, the vehicle is finished in arguably the most desired color combination of red and white (trim tag 715 matador red/dune beige) . This ’56 Nomad has nearly perfect body fit on all original body panels. The body, paint, chrome, and stainless trim and hardware are all in excellent shape. The vehicle has the distinctive chrome tail gate strips on a super solid tailgate. The body of this vehicle is rust free with no bubbling anywhere. This ’56 has the ribbed roof that is super sharp and in excellent shape. The emblems on this vehicle are excellent. The vehicle is equipped with all of it’s original tinted glass with the exception of the windshield, the driver side rear slider window has about a 3” crack in it but is original and clear. The vehicle is equipped with a sharp set of color coded steel rims with hubcaps and the period correct looking wide white wall tires. The interior of the ’56 is very cool with the old school bench seat covered in the classic red and white Bel Air Beauville nylon faced pattern cloth. The headliner in this vehicle is absolutely stunning. The ’56 has the classic Chevrolet dash with oodles of detail and the factory gauges and the classic ’56 Chevy steering wheel and column. The vehicle is equipped with what appears to be, and according to the previous owner, factory A/C, it appears that all the AC components are in tact but non-functioning. The carpet, headliner, and door panels are all in excellent shape and the vehicle comes with an excellent set of floor mats. Overall, as the pictures indicate, the interior of the car is excellent and ready to go to the car show.
Mechanically this car is equipped with it’s original drive train including the 265 Cubic Inch V8 engine and 2-speed power glide automatic transmission. The engine compartment on this vehicle is show detailed as can be seen in the pictures. This vehicle has been updated with power front disk brakes. The vehicle is equipped with dual exhaust with chrome tips. This vehicle runs, drives, and stops without issue.
