Perhaps no other car captures the essence of Mopar Muscle than the
Dodge Super Bee. Dodge and Plymouth began to engage in a bit of
sibling rivalry as Dodge watched Plymouths success of the Road
Runner, further more, Dodge had already coined the "road runner"
name in a Coronet Ad for the 1967 model year but sister company
Plymouth took off with the name plate. Dodge launched the Super Bee
as a direct competitor to the Road Runner resulting in and
inter-performance rivalry that created some of the best muscle cars
known to man.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this outstanding, 1970 Dodge
Super Bee for consideration. This car is powered by the optional
383 335hp with Ram Charger forced induction cold air intake, 4
Speed Manual transmission, with High Perfromance Axle package with
3.91 ratio. The car has been the recipient of a complete frame off
restoration in its original factory color, Go Green, with attention
to detail to factory spec and options. Factory options include: Go
Green Exterior, High vinyl interior trim level with front bench
seat, pistol grip Hurst shifter, black interior door frames, power
brakes, front stone shield moldings, dual exhaust, fresh air hood,
solid state radio AM, and 26 inch radiator. Period correct factory
power steering was added at the time of restoration. The 383 engine
is believed to be numbers matching with the VIN stamping on the
proper area of the block, the transmission is believed to be
numbers matching as well. Mechanically, this Super Bee is
fantastic! It pulls strong in every gear, shifts proper, suspension
and steering is tight.
