Vintage Motorcars is excited to offer this truly one of a kind 1980
Chevrolet Corvette.� This is a one owner car with just over 12,972
original miles.�
In 1980, both front and rear bumper covers were restyled with brand
new integrated�aerodynamic�spoilers that resulted in a significant
reduction in drag and increased radiator air flow. The hood was
restyled as well. The crossed-flag emblems disappeared from the
front fenders and were revised to a more elongated style on the
nose and fuel door.� Air conditioning became standard, as did the
tilt-telescopic steering column, power windows, exterior sport
mirrors, and the convenience group. New was an optional roof panel
carrier that would mount to the rear�fastback�deck. �Many
weight-saving components were introduced including thinner body
panels and an aluminum�Dana�44 IRS (Independent Rear Suspension)
differential and crossmember. The new lighter unit replaced the
arguably stronger cast iron GM 10 bolt IRS differential
This 1980 Corvette was bought on March 28, 1980 from Voegeli
Chevrolet Buick in Monticello., WI and was driven for 6 years
before it was put into storage with only 12,855 miles and kept
there until recently.� 117 miles are all that have been put on
since it left storage.� This 1980 Corvette is a true time capsule.�
All of the documentation that you could possible ask for are
included which includes; the original invoice, bill of sale, window
sticker insert, owner's manual, maintenance schedule, emissions
label, 1980 Corvette brochure, dealer's plastic plate, and
more.�
In addition to all the documentation you could ask for, this car is
in 95% original condition.� The paint is all original and has not
been touched up in any way (that I could find), so even with only
12,972 miles, there may be a very small rock chip or two.� The
tires have not even had to be changed and since it was stored
properly they are still very drivable.� The only thing that has
been changed from original is that this car received a new
exhaust.� If you prefer the original one though, we do have it and
it will come with the car.
The interior of this car is where you can truly see the fact that
this car has spent most of its life off the road and in storage.�
The Claret leather interior looks practically untouched.� There are
not any signs of wear on the dash where you would expect to see it
or anywhere else.�
