1970 edition included stronger body accents, an optional cowl
induction domed hood with lock down pins & dual racing stripes over
the hood and trunk lid, painted headlight surrounds and blacked out
grill accents, wheel well lip moldings, smaller square taillights
located within the chrome bumper along with a black insert panel,
14" 5-spoke chrome wheels, and SS emblems front & rear. ��This bold
and very aggressive Chevy provoked fear in the hearts of potential
race candidates at every stoplight! This restored, Van Nuys,
California built 1970 Chevelle SS396 Hardtop comes finished in
Fathom Blue with White stripes over a new Parchment White vinyl
interior with White vinyl roof. Factory options include full
numbers matching L34 396ci/350 horsepower Turbo-Jet V8 & M40
3-speed automatic transmission, Super Sport package equipment, F41
special performance suspension, JL2 vacuum power disc brakes, power
steering, tilt column, Rally gauges with dash tachometer & electric
clock, original 3.31 12-bolt rear end (CCW), bucket seats with
center console, factory air conditioning, all Soft-Ray tinted
glass, headrests, remote driver mirror, roof rail & wheel house
moldings, special ducted cowl induction hood, and cushion rim sport
steering wheel.� Updates include AM/FM/Cassette radio with
windshield antenna, rear speakers with hidden amplifier, and
oversized 15" SS wheels fitted with BF Goodrich Radial T/A white
letter tires measuring 245/60 up front and 275/50 at the rear! The
engine, transmission, and rear end are nicely detailed from top to
bottom! It runs superbly.� It tracks perfectly straight, runs cool,
brakes confidently, and all features are in strong working order
including a/c and clock!� The body & chassis remain solid after a
complete cosmetic restoration completed approximately 5 years ago.�
Any rust in the body was properly removed before new paint was
applied in a base coat/clear coat fashion so the hood & deck
stripes are buried nicely and feel super smooth to the touch!� The
new white vinyl roof remains in excellent shape.� The chrome &
bright work has all been refinished and appear as-new throughout!�
The engine bay has been detailed to include proper Quadrajet 1901
750cfm carburetor, correct hoses & tower style clamps for the
radiator, chrome valve covers, and factory correct presentation
stickers.� With new 2.5" exhaust with FlowMaster Super 50 mufflers
and chrome tips, new gas tank, newer shocks & tires, complete front
end bushing & ball joints, brake components & hoses, it will not
