It's powered by a big block 429 from a 1969 Thunderbird, backed by a Lokar shifted Ford C6 automatic transmission.The rear end and drive shaft were completely rebuilt and 3:89 gears were installed.A new Summit Racing Carburetor and air cleaner provide the fuel, and a new Pertronix distributor eliminates the need for those pesky ignition points. New dual exhaust pipes handle the spent gases. A new radiator and heater hoses, aided by an electric temperature controlled fan keep everything running cool. The new heater and R134 A/C keep the cab comfortable.
Steering has been updated with a power rack and pinion unit, and new king pins were installed. A chrome tilt column takes care of driver control. New steel wheels with Ford hubcaps and BF Goodrich radial T/A tires set the truck off nicely A one wire alternator procides the charging for the electrical system.
All exterior stainless has been polished and straightened, and all weather stripping has been replaced.Both bumpers have been rechromed, and exterior emblems as well as interior and exterior door handles are new. CNC accents were added to the floor, and new "peep" mirrors were installed. A spray in bed liner protects the bed. Newer bright red paint and new red & white seat covers and door panels plus black carpeting enhance the old school appearance of this truck.
