Vehicle Description
Did you ever want the ultimate sleeper? How about a 1996 Cadillac
Fleetwood that has a 440 hp beast under the hood ready to show
muscle machines its taillights? Sounds pretty cool, right? And more
than just a monster motor in a luxury machine, this one has
received the right attention and investments to be your new
favorite custom build.
This car is the best place to start with a sleeper. The gold paint
and vinyl roof make it look like it was built to cruise the
boulevards at a leisurely pace. And Cadillac built a handsome
full-sized sedan with big chrome bumpers at each end, and
full-length trim to connect visually connect it all. These
Fleetwoods even have plenty of classic elements like the integrated
rear fender skirt and a hint of tailfin. In fact, nothing from the
first impression would let you know that this is a custom-built
wild machine, unless someone recognizes the newer 17-inch alloys
borrowed from the Cadillac CTS.
Inside, the first impression is once again classic Caddy luxury.
There's acres of interior space so family and friends can spread
out. There's plenty of leather and wood applique for style and
comfort. Plus, it's loaded with all the right features, including
air conditioning, power windows, power locks, cruise control, power
mirrors, dual airbags, and a premium AM/FM/CD/cassette stereo. But
as you begin to power adjust your driver's bucket to the perfect
driving position, you start to notice some interesting upgrades.
First, the steering column has a Scangauge II display mounted on it
to offer a tach supplement to the factory digital readouts. And
there's now a floor-mounted stick shift. So even if you haven't
twisted the key and heard this one roar, your senses already know
there's something wicked in the engine bay.
Under the hood is now a Golden Performance 383 cubic-inch stroker
V8. This LT1 is a more modern fuel-injected powerhouse that has
been upgraded with GTP ported aluminum heads, Comp Cams XR288HR
Xtreme Energy camshaft, Crane gold rocker arms, and a K&N cold
air intake. This full power package is rated at 440 hp, which gives
you more ponies under the hood than a modern Mustang GT! And the
moment you fire this one up, the Flowmaster dual exhaust roars to
life with the kind of sound that tells everyone about the beast
within. Best of all, you have complete control over this powerful
V8 and its thunderous soundtrack thanks to the recently rebuilt ZF
six-speed manual transmission. More than just an upgrade to the
motor and trans, this one has been fortified with a 3" aluminum
driveshaft, Moser rear axle, and Auburn limited slip rear running a
versatile 3.73 ratio. Plus, you have power steering, thick sway
bars front & rear, front disc brakes, and the modern grip of Nitto
NT555 tires.
While the sale comes complete with the owner's manual, you know
this is a very different car than when it left the Cadillac
factory. It's amazing this one-of-a-kind custom is also so
affordable. So you know this is a case of call us today, of you
might regret it tomorrow!
